At Barnard College on January 2, 1897 Alpha Omicron Pi was formed. The four founders of Alpha Omicron Pi are Helen St. Clair Mullan, Stella George Stern Perry, Elizabeth Heywood Wyman, and Jessie Wallace Hughan. These women had a dream of a sorority that would bond them together to continue their friendships throughout their lifetimes.
